We were asked to capture a series of Q&A videos with British Olympic athletes at press and PR events, to boost their exposure and increase engagement across the Team GB social media channels.
Working in narrow timeframes to shoot engaging video content is an art in itself. At Fresh Cut, we have years of experience of capturing the footage our clients need from busy, fast-paced events.
We worked in partnership with Tanjun Media at a series of Team GB events, where some of the country’s finest athletes were speaking about their Olympic aspirations and shedding light on their progress towards the 2016 Games in Rio. The events were an opportunity to give Team GB’s online audience an insight into the lives of sporting heroes at a key stage in their careers.
By arriving at each event fully prepared and with our creative concepts already developed, we ensured that every second of our time on location was valuable. We have a long-standing relationship with Team GB and they trusted us to deliver attention-grabbing videos that their audience would engage with.
Q&A videos are a great example of sticky, sharable social content. Followers of any brand or organisation relish the chance to get a quick insight into the thoughts of the people pulling the strings behind the scenes, and nothing delivers that better than a well-made Q&A video.
Great Q&A videos should be short and punchy, but packed with engaging, entertaining footage. Cut out the waffle and go straight for the strongest soundbites in your edit.
Q&A videos have the potential to be shared widely across the social web and help to strengthen your reputation as thought leaders in your specialist area. As such, it is vital that your videos blend valuable insights with engaging personalities, and you should have a strategy in place that ensures your content gets circulated across all of your social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Vine and LinkedIn.
