Our team at the Leeds Office got well and truly caught up in the buzz and excitement of the Tour De France coming to Yorkshire. It was a sweltering summer and we wanted to create our own Yorkshire spin on the Tour De France.
Our talented team of writers, producers and film creatives developed a concept, wrote the script and got to work. We involved several local businesses and begged and borrowed to line up locations, actors and props as cost effectively as possible for this little self-funded creative outlet.
Our shooting days arrived and guess what? Yorkshire did what it does best, the heavens opened and it rained heavily and constantly for two days straight but as always we soldiered on! It was a tough shoot, squelchy shoes and plenty of breaks for warm cuppers, but the rain does add a certain authenticity to the final product.
Wilson’s Pork Pies, the local business that had provided the pies, loved the film so much they sponsored it, using it as a piece of Branded Video Content on their social media channels in the run up to the big event. The film was also selected to be shown on a huge outdoor cinema screen helping to raise awareness of Fresh Cut along the way.
