Castore x Rangers FC

A fresh new era

Fresh Cut partnered with Castore in spring 2020 to produce the Glasgow Rangers 2020/21 kit launch video. The brief centred on the history and heritage of the club, making sure we put the fans first while making an emotive piece of content.

Strategy & Creative

Our pitch described a film that would depict successive generations of Rangers supporters, highlighting the family ties that ensure fandom is passed down along with the folklore and legend that makes the club unique.


To help highlight our glance at the past of Rangers, we combined memorable club archive footage with our own freshly shot 16mm footage. Modern day scenes were captured in a high end digital anamorphic format. The approach allowed for detailed dramatic shots of players in the new kit, fast paced live action sequences at Ibrox stadium and macro level kit detail.

Views and shares grew exponentially, driving awareness of the new kit and pre-orders to the point of selling out within 48 hours.
